Alamos Gold, 1 milyar dolar tazminat istedi

Kaz Dağları'nda altın madeni kurmaya çalışan ve doğa severler tarafından günlerce protesto edilen Kanadalı madencilik şirketi Alamos Gold, uluslararası anlaşmayı ihlal ettiği gerekçesiyle Türkiye'den 1 milyar dolar tazminat istedi.

TORONTO BORSASINA AÇIKLAMA YAPTILAR

Şirket, Toronto borsasına yaptığı açıklamada, Kaz Dağları’ndaki Kirazlı altın madeni için ana izinlerin ve yakınlardaki Ağı Dağı ve Çamyurt altın madenleri için bazı izinlerin yenilenmediğini belirtti.

TÜRKİYE’NİN ANLAŞMAYI İHLAL ETTİĞİNİ ÖNE SÜRDÜLER

Reuters’ın aktardığına göre, Türkiye’ye Hollanda’da kurduğu bir iştirak üzerinden yatırım yapan şirket, Ankara’nın Hollanda ile yaptığı ikili yatırım anlaşmasını ihlal ettiğini ve “el koyma, haksız ve adil olmayan muamele” nedeniyle tazminat istediğini belirtti.

“İZİNLERİ ALMAMIZA RAĞMEN FAALİYETLERİMİZ DURDURULDU”

Şirketin Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı ve CEO’su John McCluskey, şirketin Türkiye’ye 2010 yılında yatırıma başladığını ifade ederek, “10 yıllık çabamıza, 250 milyon doların üzerindeki yatırıma ve madeninin inşa ve işletmesi için gereken tüm izinleri almış olmamıza rağmen daha önce emsali görülmemiş bir şekilde faaliyetlerimiz 18 ay içinde durduruldu” dedi.
